One of my favorite movies that I used to watch with my children and now watch with my grandchildren is Never Ending Story. The film is about a little boy, Sebastian, with a vivid imagination who loves to read. He is often admonished to “get his head out of the clouds.” One day he is given a special book with a magnificent story about the quirky and beautiful Kingdom of Fantasia. As Sebastian reads he gradually becomes part of the story.
Sebastian is carried along in the story as “The Nothing” gobbles up the kingdom. He follows along as the young hero Arturo tries to save the kingdom but alas, Arturo succumbs to “The Nothing” as well. In one of the final scenes, there is nothing left to the kingdom but the young princess of Fantasia and a single grain of sand. The princess tells Sebastian that he holds the key to bringing the kingdom back. All he has to do is make a wish. “How many wishes do I get?” asks Sebastian. “As many as you want,” replies the Princess.
I am reminded of that line when I am trying to become the creator of my own life. Often I feel that I need to limit what I wish for; that I should focus on only one thing at a time; that the Universe will grant me only one wish. I can hear Sebastian’s voice asking the question “How many wishes do I get?” and especially the Princess’ reply, “As many as you want.”
We live in a limitless universe, and all that we want is available to us, as long as we believe that it can be ours. Why is it so hard for us to believe that health, abundance, and love belong to us all?
I invite you to make as many wishes as you like, make the list long and bold and magnificent, wish big and large and create the world that you dream of.
This excerpt from Notes from the Universe by Michael Dooley says it all:
It’s me the Universe.
I’ve got good news and bad news.
The good news is that you’ve passed the audition!
Yee-Haa! You’ve earned your wings! You’re a certified, bona fide Being of Light, capable of transcending all fears and manifesting all dreams.
From here on out, you have but to dwell upon what you want, and I must bring it forth.
The bad news is this message was supposed to reach you eons and eons ago.
Sorry.
Sending you unlimited wishes.... Donna, BellaSpark Productions
Fall is definitely our favorite time of the year. Football, fresh apple cider, crisp cool nights and vibrantly colorful days. There is something about the sound of the wind blowing through the trees, moving out the last vestiges of summer like a large broom, sweeping away the turbulence of the past few months and ushering in a new season.

My grandson Nicholas loves to ride bikes with me. Now I’ve found that if you’re looking for a real aerobic workout, or in a hurry to get somewhere, Nicholas is not the riding partner you want. But if you enjoy stopping at all the cool places along the river to crouch on the rocks and look for fish and turtles, sail sticks and throw stones, then he’s your man. And if you want a soothing, meditative opportunity, forget it. This child never stops talking!

My favorite television commercials are the ones for Verizon Wireless and their Network. The guy comes out of the store after purchasing Verizon phone service and is greeted by hundreds of people lead by a man in a grey uniform. As he walks, the man in the grey uniform and the hundreds of people move with him. Every step he takes, the crowd shifts to move along with him, two steps to the left, three steps to the right, they all move as one along with him. Bewildered, the man goes back inside the store and asks “What’s up?” “It’s your Network.” is the reply.
