The BellaSpark Award recognizes ‘Beautiful Sparks!’

Image for The BellaSpark Award recognizes ‘Beautiful Sparks!’

As many of you know, BellaSpark Productions was named after our daughter Kristi who was killed in a car accident seven years ago. Kristi was a beautiful spark and we have tried to honor her memory by celebrating the beautiful, passionate spark of inspiration we knew her to be and carry on her legacy by igniting positive change in the world.

There are many “BellaSparks” in this world, individuals who are striving to create a more peaceful, beautiful world, reaching out to find spiritual, practical and heartfelt solutions to our planet’s challenges. To recognize and honor these inspiring visionaries, we have created the BellaSpark Award to be presented regularly to individuals who are a catalyst for change and a shining inspiration for others.

Our very first BellaSpark Award was presented to actress Shirley MacLaine. One of the most visionary women of this century, she has been a catalyst for spiritual awareness and consciousness for millions of people for more than 30 years. Shirley has been committed to boldly speaking her truth, unedited and uncensored, and has inspired people around the globe to open their hearts and minds and find the courage to follow their path. Shirley is definitely an igniter of change.

In upcoming issues of BellaSpark Magazine we will be featuring many of these beautiful “BellaSparks” and encourage you, our readers, to submit your recommendations. Whether affecting change in a community or on a national or global level, the power of one is a mighty thing. We believe it is time to ignite human energy… one spark, one beautiful spark, one heartbeat at a time, creating a chain reaction, an explosion of energy that can bring about amazing transformation. We are the people we’ve been waiting for.

Tell us who you think is a “BellaSpark”
To submit your recommendations for a BellaSpark Award go to www.BellaSpark.com/contact and tell us who you would like to nominate, what they are doing and why you feel they are special. Please include a photo and the nominee’s contact information if possible.

Fall Winds Bring a Breath of Fresh Air

Fall is definitely our favorite time of the year. Football, fresh apple cider, crisp cool nights and vibrantly colorful days. There is something about the sound of the wind blowing through the trees, moving out the last vestiges of summer like a large broom, sweeping away the turbulence of the past few months and ushering in a new season.

Eating Ice Cream and the Wisdom of a Child…

My grandson Nicholas loves to ride bikes with me. Now I’ve found that if you’re looking for a real aerobic workout, or in a hurry to get somewhere, Nicholas is not the riding partner you want. But if you enjoy stopping at all the cool places along the river to crouch on the rocks and look for fish and turtles, sail sticks and throw stones, then he’s your man. And if you want a soothing, meditative opportunity, forget it. This child never stops talking!

My Network

My favorite television commercials are the ones for Verizon Wireless and their Network. The guy comes out of the store after purchasing Verizon phone service and is greeted by hundreds of people lead by a man in a grey uniform. As he walks, the man in the grey uniform and the hundreds of people move with him. Every step he takes, the crowd shifts to move along with him, two steps to the left, three steps to the right, they all move as one along with him. Bewildered, the man goes back inside the store and asks “What’s up?” “It’s your Network.” is the reply.
